I started Lumeshield because I couldn't find what I was looking for in Houston. Most window tinting companies here do auto film as their main business and add residential as an afterthought. The installers who show up at your house are auto guys doing home jobs. The film selection is limited. The estimates are rushed. The installs show it.
Residential window film is different from auto film in every way that matters: different glass types, different seal configurations, different thermal dynamics, different film specs. Homes have double-pane insulated units that can fail if you use the wrong film. They have historic wood frames that need careful prep. They have room orientations and exposure patterns that determine what to install and where.
I spent years learning the residential side of this business before I started Lumeshield. Every estimate I do, I walk the home myself. I tell you what I find and what I recommend, and I answer your questions before we start. That's how I want to be treated when I hire someone to work on my house, and it's the standard I hold every Lumeshield job to.

Some windows don't need film. A north-facing bedroom that never gets direct sun? Probably not worth treating. We walk every room, tell you which windows are causing your problem, and quote only what will actually help. We don't pad jobs. It's not how we want to do business.

Drop cloths go down before we start. Shoe covers go on at the door. We don't leave water streaks, squeegee lines, or debris behind. When we're done, we do a room-by-room walkthrough with you to confirm everything looks right. The install is invisible — that's the goal.

Every Lumeshield install comes with a written warranty on both the film and the labor. If you see edge lifting, bubbling, or delamination, call us. We come back and fix it at no charge. You'll have the warranty document in hand before we start, so you know exactly what's covered.
